Sleeping 6, the house is finished to a luxuriously high standard guaranteeing a cosy and comfortable stay at any time of year.
Kilcarreg has a great living space,3 individual bedrooms, the master with a four poster bed and en-suite, a spacious sitting room with wood burner for cooler evenings or winter nights,a snug and a sun room. The sun room looks out onto the lovely rear garden with a shady patio for sunny afternoons and balmy evenings. The downstairs wet room is ideal for returning from the beach or water sports. A house bathroom kitchen, dining area and a utility room complete the well-equipped accommodation.
Kilcarreg is ideally situated, offering a great base from which to enjoy leisurely walks or a more energetic full range of outdoor and water activities. Rock is a popular destination due to its stunning location on the beautiful Camel estuary, views across to Padstow, mile long sandy beach, dunes and the many other gorgeous beaches nearby, including the surfing beach at Polzeath and the lovely Daymer bay. Visitors can enjoy amazing sunsets both in summer and winter and a year round mild climate. On the Rock side of the estuary or by ferry to Padstow, there is a choice of lovely pubs, fine restaurants and great shopping to suit all tastes.
Kilcarreg can sleep up to 6 in generous accommodation. 3 bedrooms (1 ensuite), a separate bathroom and downstairs wet-room, an open-plan dining / kitchen area and 3 living spaces: sitting-room, snug and conservatory. We would like to advise that Kilcarreg is a non smoking residence and unfortunately pets, are not allowed with the exception of guide dogs.
Kilcarreg is located in Rock, on the shores of the River Camel estuary in North Cornwall. Cornwall is a peninsula in the south-west British Isles featuring two very different coastlines.

The sheltered Rock estuary is ideal for messing about in boats, spotting dolphins, and family beach days, inland there is a host of pretty villages and market towns.
A holiday in Rock offers visitors a fantastic range of relaxing or energetic pursuits. Renowned for its fabulous beach, windsurfing, canoeing, angling and rock pooling or just time with a good book can be enjoyed.
Great sailing, canoeing and water skiing are readily available on the Camel estuary, either on your own boat, through the Rock Sailing and Ski Club or through the Camel Ski School all located in Rock. Fishing trips, for mackerel, bass and shark or just to look for basking sharks or dolphins can be arranged from Ferry point in Rock or from Padstow. Dive trips can be arranged from Rock for qualified divers to the wrecks and reefs outside the estuary where there are clear waters, although not suitable for beginners.
For swimmers the mile long sandy beach at Rock is ideal and the bathing beach at Daymer Bay is just a walk away along the beach or dunes. With the surfer’s paradise of Polzeath within a short drive.

Further afield the region offers many opportunities for leisurely or more demanding walking excursions and there is much to interest the bird-watching enthusiast.
A stay at Rock would not be complete without taking the short ferry ride to the famous harbour town of Padstow. Here you can enjoy great shopping, time on the beach and in the rock pools, the Camel Cycle Trail, which can also be accessed in Wadebridge, a short drive from Rock, the historic Prideaux Place and a range of water activities.
As one of the UK's best known food destinations, Padstow gives you a great choice of high quality restaurants including Stein's Fish and Chips, Rick Stein's Fish and Paul Ainsworth's Number 6.
For golf enthusiasts the nearby course at St Enodoc Golf Club, Rock, is considered to be one of the finest in the country.
While in Cornwall it's easy to enjoy some of the wonderful experiences that the county has to offer.

Fans of the Poldark novels by Winston Graham and the TV series will be able to visit filming locations and the Poldark Tin Mine and Gardens. There is also a Poldark's Cornwall exhibition at the Royal Cornwall Museum.
Some stand-out high points in a vist to Cornwall include the dramatic Biomes at the Eden Project and the cliff-bound Minack Theatre with breathtaking Atlantic views.
Wadebridge with its range of shops, cafes, takeaways and supermarkets is only six miles, fifteen minutes easy drive away.
Though Truro is the only city in Cornwall, larger towns include Falmouth, Penzance, Newquay and St Austell, all offering a great range of shopping and visitor interests. There are many small country villages typical of Cornwall, some of them with quaint tea shops where you can enjoy a traditional Cornish cream tea - although the nearest place to serve two delicious versions of the classic cream tea, eat in their lovely garden or take out, is the Beech Tree at Hawthorn Cottage on Shores Lane less than a minutes walk away from your front door.
